well - monday was definitely a killer and a little wierd. Noelle (pictured below)

brought her boyfriend to Crossfit! But! He workout, he just sat there on his iPhone. It was weird and she was weird with him there. I feel strangely protective over our space at Crossfit, we all are supportive but when you bring someone else it's like there is a giant buffalo in the room.
BUT it was an AWESOME workout, I literally hit a wall - or more like... the ceiling.
for our warmup:
2 rounds of the CWU -
15 pullups, 15 pushups, 15 situps, 15 squats, 15 back extensions, 15 dips.
then we did 5-5-5-5-5 of shoulder presses (here is where the ceiling comes in.)
1. 32 lbs. - no sweat
2. added 5's - 42 lbs. - little harder
3. went over to the 45 lb bar - feeling it
4. added 5lbs total = 55 lbs. - CEILING.
it was the weirdest thing, I got to the same point every time I tried to push it over my head. I hit my wall, I failed - I could not get it past that point but that is the point. Pushing yourself until your body stops.
5. went over did 43 x 4 times. again, the damn ceiling.
now onto...
workout:
AMRAP (as many reps as possible) for 20 minutes, it was
5 pullups
10 wall ball squats
15 kettlebell swings (backdeath.)
i got 7 reps of this - cj and I am so proud, got 8 ! right down to the wire. he proceeded to lay down and twitch a little afterwards.
(side note: if you can guess why i had the cramps, you can guess why I have been eating like a moose. food:
up to 3 lara bars, 1 apple, 1 banana, a big salad, water up the ying-yang and almonds. needless to say, atleast I am on this challenge and feeling so ravenous.)
NOW... day 8:

1/2 kiwi lime larabar when i got into the car (dangit Cj!)
1/4 of cj's smoothie which looked and had the texture of vomit ( :-( ) but was tasty!

5 minute jumprope
530 meter row
workout: RFT (reps for time)
15 squat thrusters
15 bar facing burpees (hopping over the bar after each burpee.)
time: 28:12 ( :< )
this one, left me gelatinous.
example: we get home, I lay down to check my email - and as I try to get up my body protests and I start shaking uncontrollably while all my muscles are sore and forcing me to lay the hell back down. I ended up rolling onto my back and grabbing at the couch for leverage and getting up and showering.
Cj say's: "Try and do a burpee."
I hear: "Gargle some tacks and mouthwash."
